We want to have a larger emphasis on workshops and on working together on problems we deeply care about. You can expect workshops and talks for beginners, intermediates, and pros alike. An open hackcentre where you can collaborate on your projects or just chill. Finally, a hackday during which you can work on important projects or just hang out with other Nix hackers.

By car

Finding a parking spot in Kreuzberg is notoriously hard. Please use other means of transport.

By public transport

From Berlin Hauptbahnhof (central station)

Take any train from platform 15, change at Jannowitzbrücke into U8 (-> Herrmannstraße) and exit at Schönleinstraße.

From Berlin-Südkreuz

Take any train from platform 12, change at Herrmannstraße into U8 (-> Paracelsus-Bad / Wittenau) and exit at Schönleinstraße.

From Berlin-Gesundbrunnen

Take the U8 (-> Herrmannstraße) and exit at Schönleinstraße.

From BER Airport

There are several options to choose from:

Notes on accessibility with public transport

All major train stations and S-Bahn stations from/to Hauptbahnhof (central station) — Alexanderplatz — Jannowitzbrücke — Ostkreuz, BER Airport — Ostkreuz, BER Airport — Herrmannstraße — Südkreuz are generally accessible without steps.

The subway stations Schönleinstraße (U8) and Görlitzer Bahnhof (U1 / U3) do not have an elevator and are therefore not accessible without steps. An elevator replacement service can be booked free of charge.

Is bUm barrier-free?

All rooms at bUm are accessible without steps.
